Statue Filling Weekend (Photos)
On NKT Day (April 4th, 2009), students from all the Kadampa Centers in Florida gathered at KMC Florida in Sarasota. Gen Kelsang Demo and Kelsang Chokyan taught a statue filling course. The process starts with cleaning the inside of the statues. Then mantras are printed, cut out, and carefully rolled. Once the inside of the statue is cleaned and the mantras are all rolled the statue can be filled. Then they can be used on the shrine!
