Foundation Programs
Why do we study?
There are three benefits to the study and practice of Buddha’s teachings:
To develop our wisdom
To cultivate a good heart
To maintain a peaceful state of mind
What is Foundation Program?
The Foundation Program (FP) provides a systematic presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism to enable practitioners to deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism. The Program is based on Buddha’s Sutra teachings and the corresponding commentaries by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. At the end of every class is invaluable discussion time amongst fellow students and the opportunity to clarify our understanding of the teachings through a group question and answer session with our kind resident teacher.
There are two Foundation Programs being offered at Drolma Kadampa
Buddhist Center.
